Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow stock firmwares have begun to roll out. If you are rooted or need to upgrade manually (using ODIN and stock firmware, follow our unroot directions), you can grab these stock firmwares yourself and flash. Please see updated Marshmallow stock firmwares on our Galaxy S6 Edge stock firmwares. If you are rooting and installing custom ROMs, it may be a good idea to always have the original copy of the stock firmware for your model of Galaxy S6 Edge handy just in case something goes wrong (that way it will save you time to restore your phone). Also, rooting the Marshmallow stock firmwares can be seen here.
For those of you looking for Galaxy S6 Edge stock firmwares, we have added most of SM-G925F European and SM-G925I South American stock firmwares to our S6 Edge Stock Firmware page. If you see any country firmware missing, don’t worry as we are working around the clock to update them all but you should find most of them available now. Also, if you do not see a firmware for your country, you can also use any other country firmware so long as your model number matches. For example, you can use Germany SM-G925F firmware if you have Spain SM-G925F. Since all of the firmwares support all languages, you should have no problems as long as you change the language after installing them.
For those of you waiting for T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925T stock firmware, it’s finally here!
What will this allow us to do? You will be able to easily unroot back to original stock firmware in case something goes wrong such as soft-bricking(where your device turns on but in a bootloop). Not only that, you will also be able to extract the stock recovery and re-install if you ever want to re-enable OTA updates on a rooted S6 Edge.
